- Here are the instructions. The essay is due on Tuesday, May 19th by 11:59pm on turnitin.com.

- HW: Read Kolchin 14-24 and annotate for big ideas, supporting details, and questions you have.
- HW: Finish all document work to submit on Tuesday, 9/2.
- EQ: Did slavery cause racism or did racism cause slavery? Find and annotate Kolchin's thesis on this question and provide commentary on your viewpoint on the question.

- Here is the Thesis and Outline Graphic Organizer I promised. This will be what you hand in with your annotated docs and evidence organizer at the end of the unit.
- HW: R/A Docs A and H. Look at the question above Doc A for reference, but DO NOT start writing a DBQ. Feel free to hone in on the docs and ignore the other bits of text about the essay or chart...I will give you more info later.
- HW: Read and annotate docs D and E and add your evidence to the DBQ Graphic Organizer.
- HW: R/A Divine pgs. 43-50 (skip 48-49).
- HW: Read and annotate Divine (textbook) pgs. 34-41. Feel free to use post-its, cornell notes, or other systems with which you are comfortable to organize the information.
- HW: Read and annotate docs F and G, and add both notes from docs B, C, F, and G to the DBQ Evidence Graphic Organizer. Organize your evidence based on whether you think it would lead to success or failure for either Massachusetts Bay or Virginia settlers. Both are due Monday, 8/25, thanks!
